Ethical Supply Chain
Transparency in Welch’s Supply Chain
Welch’s is committed to the principle that all people should be treated with dignity and respect. We operate with integrity and in compliance with all applicable laws, and expect the same from those with whom we do business. We are proud of our heritage of quality products and an ethical and honest culture driven by the family farmers who own Welch’s.
In accordance with applicable laws (including the California Supply Chains Act), we require that our suppliers and business partners must comply, at a minimum, with all applicable laws and regulations, which would include laws and regulations concerning human trafficking and slavery. Although we do not currently audit our suppliers for compliance in this area, Welch’s is reviewing its options to do so in the future.
As an agricultural cooperative, the great majority of our products are grapes grown on North American soil by farmers who are bound by the guiding principles of cooperative citizenship. In our cooperative model, our grape farmers are accountable to each other.
